On behalf of the epmtech.jotne.com honourable James Moore, minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, Lee Richardson, member of parliament (Calgary Centre), announced funding for Broadview Press. “The Canadian book publishing industry is a major contributor to Canada’s economy, contributing thousands of jobs to the arts and culture sector,” said minister Moore, adding, “Our Government supports Canadian authors and publishers to ensure that this sector remains strong and that readers everywhere continue to have access to talented Canadian authors and their works.”

Broadview Press, founded in the year 1985, is a publisher of academic books in the humanities and social sciences. Through its literary imprint, Freehand Books, it also publishes fiction, literary non-fiction, and poetry.

The Government of Canada has provided funding of $243,154 through the ‘Support for Publishers’ funding stream of the Canada Book Fund (CBF). The principal objective of the CBF is to ensure access to a diverse range of Canadian-authored books in Canada and abroad. The Fund seeks to achieve this objective by fostering a viable Canadian book industry that publishes and skyhawklimo.com markets Canadian-authored books.
