75 Czech Authors To Attend The 2026 Frankfurter Buchmesse

Czechia will be Guest of Honour at Frankfurter Buchmesse (7-11 October 2026), featuring more than 100 literary and cultural events at the fair and in and around the city of Frankfurt. 75 Czech authors will travel to Frankfurt in October. The authors were selected by the Czech Guest of Honour project’s “Programming Committee”, which consisted of 23 members, comprising literary scholars and translators as well as experts from the book industry, cultural institutions and cultural management.

At the book fair, the Czech authors will talk about their works and engage with the audience on the stages of the Guest of Honour pavilion. Another venue where Czech literature will be represented at the fair will be the Czech Republic’s new collective stand, where business meetings for selling rights will take place. More than 40 Czech publishers will be presenting their books there.
