NBT Book Publishing Course 2026 Concludes
The six-week Book Publishing Course, organised by the National Book Trust, India at its premises concluded on 10 July 2026. This month-long learning journey came to a fitting close with conversations on the future of publishing, the growing importance of literary agents, and a closing ceremony marking the programme’s successful completion. On 9 July 2026, a day ahead of the closing ceremony, participants visited the Bloomsbury Publishing India office in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. The Bloomsbury team had put together a full day’s programme, opening with a welcome from Sivapriya R., Publishing Director – Consumer, followed by a series of sessions.
On 10th July 2026, Meru Gokhale, Founder of Editrix.ai, talked on the topic, ‘AI and the Book.’ She walked participants through the many ways artificial intelligence is reshaping the publishing landscape; from editorial workflows and manuscript development to content discovery and overall publishing efficiency.
Kanishka Gupta, Founder of Writer’s Side Literary Agency introduced participants to a part of the industry many first-time authors overlook– the literary agent.
While, Yuvraj Malik, Director, NBT addressed the participants at the closing ceremony. Reflecting on the month behind them, he congratulated the cohort on completing the course and urged them to carry what they had learned into their own work. He also encouraged them to put their new knowledge, skills, and industry connections to use in strengthening India’s publishing ecosystem.
