Shillong Book Fair Held Successfully

Sanbor Shullai, Hon’ble Minister for Arts and Culture, Government of Meghalaya, inaugurated the third Shillong Book Fair, scheduled from 25 September – October 1, 2026. With over 80 book stalls from various publishers, the Fair offered a wide range of books to the bibliophiles.

Organised by National Book Trust, India in collaboration with the Department of Arts & Culture, Government of Meghalaya, the third edition of Shillong Book Fair was held at the State Central Library, Shillong.

The Fair featured over 80 book stalls, offering readers a wide range of books across subjects and genres. The Fair provides an opportunity to students, educators, families and book lovers to explore and purchase books, while encouraging the culture of reading in the region
