46th FIP Awards for Excellence in Book Production Conferred
The Federation of Indian Publishers (FIP) presented the 46th Awards for Excellence in Book Production at The Claridges, New Delhi. Hon’ble Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva, Judge, Supreme Court of India, was the Chief Guest and presented the awards, honouring the outstanding work and meticulous craftsmanship behind some of the finest books produced in India.
The 46th edition received an encouraging response from publishers across the country, with 1,097 books submitted by 85 publishers for consideration. Following a detailed and meticulous evaluation, the jury selected 130 books from 71 publishers for recognition. The awards comprised 39 First Prizes, 49 Second Prizes and 42 Third Prizes, reflecting the exceptional quality and diversity of entries.
The distinguished jury comprised Dr K. Sreenivasarao, Former Secretary, Sahitya Akademi; Shri Sunil Jain, Past President, Delhi Printers Association; and Shri Vineet Kumar Mangal, Assistant Production Manager, Central Bureau of Communication. The jury undertook a comprehensive assessment of the submitted books across the various parameters of book production, identifying entries that demonstrated outstanding standards of quality, design, technical execution and presentation.
The occasion also witnessed the presentation of the FIP Friends of Publishing Award to Yuvraj Malik, Director, National Book Trust, India and CEO, New Delhi World Book Fair. The honour recognised his valuable contribution to India’s publishing and reading ecosystem, his leadership in promoting books, authors and literary initiatives, and his continued support to the Federation of Indian Publishers.
